XIIth Session of the Euro-Asian Law Congress

 

On September 13 – 14, 2018, the XII session of the European-Asian Legal Congress took place in Yekaterinburg as part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Urals State Law University.

 

During the meeting of experts of the BRICS Law Institute, a round table was held on three key topics:

 

  1. Mutual agreement procedures and arbitration for investment and tax disputes;
  2. Global contract law in the era of the implementation of the plan of base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS);
  3. Legal regime of cross-border research projects in the EAEU, BRICS and OECD.

 

The event was attended by researchers from the BRICS Law Institute, members of the Secretariat of the Countries of Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific, representatives of St.-Petersburg State University, Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov, Omsk State University. F.M. Dostoevsky, and the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD). Participants presented reports on topical issues of research regulation in the Eurasian Economic Union and cross-border taxation in BRICS.
