Academic Council and Expert Groups
of the BRICS Law Institute
In accordance with the Shanghai Declaration, 15 October 2015 and Statute on the BRICS Law Institute in cooperation with the Alliance of the law universities in the BRICS countries, the Institute carries out activities within two main Expert Groups established in 2015:
The Expert Group consists of prominent representatives of science of the BRICS countries, as well as some other regions and global educational and research centres.
Since 2016 the Founding Members of the Institute conduct coordination activities addressing fundamental issues of the Academic Council, approve research plans and plan of activities. The order of coordination activities: Brazil (2016), Russia (2017), India (2018), China (2019) and South Africa (2020), after 2020 the sequence starts from the beginning.
